Valley City State University Credit Cafeteria Plan
The CREA Graduate Credit Cafeteria Plan exists to assist in-service professionals in accumulating the necessary hours for up to TWO graduate credits offered through Valley City State University (VCSU) during the current school year (fall, spring, or summer semesters). A total of 15 hours of direct instruction must be completed for each graduate credit.
Registration Deadlines
Fall 2021 – November 26th, 2021
Spring 2022 – April 22nd, 2022
Summer 2022 – July 15th, 2022

Instructions

Download verification forms from the VCSU website – https://www.vcsu.edu/academics/continuing-education/cafeteria-credit-information/

Participate in and record 15 hours (for one credit) or 30 hours (for two credits) of professional development sessions

Obtain designated administrator signature on all verification forms

Register for credit on the VCSU website - https://www.vcsu.edu/academics/extended-learning/course-availability-and-registration/

Select the relevant semester and search for “EDUC 2000 ST: Professional Development (CREA)” – register and pay for course at the time of registration ($65 per credit)

Credit Renewal Information
Renewal requirement options:
1. Provide a copy of official transcripts showing satisfactory completion of at least eight semester hours of graduate work in
education, of which four semester hours are in the area of educational administration; or
2. Provide a copy of official transcripts showing satisfactory completion of at least four semester hours of graduate work and
verification of attendance or participation in at least six administrative educational conferences or workshops from the listing in this
subsection. The verification must be a signed statement by the conference or workshop sponsors, the employer, or a school district
business manager.
