Valley City State University Credit Cafeteria Plan
The CREA Graduate Credit Cafeteria Plan exists to assist in-service professionals with accumulating the necessary hours for graduate continuing education credits offered from Valley City State University (VCSU) during the fall, spring, or summer semesters. (Up to 4 credits maximum in a 12 month period.) A total of 15 hours direct instruction must be completed for each graduate credit.
Registration Deadlines
Fall 2023: November 24, 2023
Spring 2024: April 19, 2024
Summer 2024: July 12, 2024

Download verification forms: PDF version or Word Document version

Collect 15 hours of in-service credit and fill out verification forms. All verification forms must be signed by the Superintendent or designated administrator.

Register for credit on VCSU's website. Select the course with EDUC 2000 ST: Professional Development (CREA) in the title. Registration is year-round.

Pay for course at the time of registration ($65 per credit).

North Dakota Department of Public Instruction Credential Information
Credentialing educators in North Dakota is the responsibility of the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI). All credentialed positions require a North Dakota Educators Professional Teaching License before a credential can be issued. Licensing and endorsements are issued by the Education Standards and Practices Board (ESPB). NDDPI has an online application process for all administrative, school counselor, library media, Title I, and special education director credentials.
